Major Arterial Cardiovascular Simulator (MACSim) is a dataset co-developed by Mittweida University of Applied Sciences in Germany and the Free University of Berlin, focusing on simulations of healthy and pathological cardiovascular conditions. This dataset contains 76 signals encompassing pressure and flow waveforms from 33 major arteries, which are generated using hardware simulators and employed for validating and comparing diverse computational models. The development of the MACSim dataset entails precise measurement configurations and protocols, alongside detailed documentation of various measurement scenarios, with particular emphasis on the effects of arterial stenosis on pressure and flow waveforms within the circulatory system.
