Labeo rohita (rohu) is one of the significant fish species in Bangladesh relating to its production and contribution in nutrient. Genetic improvement of many carp fishes are exploring, more specifically Whole Genome Sequence (WGS) of rui has been repeatedly developed by the researcher. Here we present draft genome of L. rohita which consist of 125.56 GB genome with 120,325 scaffolds. While genetic improvements to rohu are ongoing, the genomic methods commonly used in other aquaculture improvement programs have historically been precluded in rohu, partially due to the lack of a high-quality reference genome. Here we present a draft genome produced using a combination of next-generation sequencing technologies (NovaSeq). The percentage of GC and AT content was 36.3 and 63.7%, respectively. Average total basses and reads of two samples were 125,554,684,527 and 831,487,977, respectively while Q20 and Q30% were 96.1 and 90.21, respectively.
