Myosin VI small insert isoform maintains exocytosis by tethering secretory granules to the cortical actin

Wild type PC12 cell expressing NPY-mCherry (red) and GFP-sh3-RNA (green) imaged using time lapse TIRF microscopy before and after nicotine stimulation. Frames were acquired every sec and stimulation was performed between frame 20 and 30. Image resolution= 0.16 μm/pixel. A representative time point was selected to illustrate SG density. To enhance the contrast of NPY-mCherry-positive SGs, NPY-mCherry channel was filtered using a Laplacian 2D filter. The filtered NPY-mCherry channel is shown (white) and was used for analysis.
