We identified several new compounds by a systematic exploration of the Eu-Pd-Sn system; some of them are characterized by unusual magnetic properties. Due to the huge high neutron absorption characterizing Eu, only high-flux low-resolution neutron powder diffraction data can be collected, useful for determining magnetic peaks, but preventing the detection of possible diffraction line splitting/broadening. To determine the magnetic structure, the representational analysis must applied and the determination of the correct crystal structure of the magnetic phase is mandatory. Hence, high-resolution synchrotron XRPD data are needed for determining the crystal structure of Eu3Pd4Sn13 in the magnetic temperature field. This strategy previously allowed for the determination of the complex magnetic states in both Eu2Pd2Sn and EuPdSn2. We aim to analyze the structural properties of Eu3Pd4Sn13 in the T range 5-300 K by high resolution synchrotron XRPD at ID22 (3 shifts requested).
