Replication data and R code for "Disasters Are Followed by Declining Climate Concernand Rightward Partisan Shifts in the United States" (Jeremy Proville, DavidMcLaughlin and Brian Buma, Environmental Defense Fund). This archive reproduces every table and figure in the paper from the raw inputs.It contains one R Markdown pipeline (CVI_sentiment_replication.Rmd) and fourinput datasets: FEMA disaster declarations (OpenFEMA), the Climate VulnerabilityIndex, Yale Climate Opinion Estimates (2018-2024), and NaNDA county partisanship(ICPSR 38506). Running the file writes all outputs to output/figures/ andoutput/tables/. Requires R (>= 4.2) with the packages listed in the setup chunk. The NaNDA county partisanship file(ICPSR 38506) cannot be redistributed under ICPSR's terms of use.
