资源简介:
The objective of this study is to assess genetic diversity of grape and its obligate aphid-like parasite phylloxera within a sky island archipelago, a natural model for rapid climate change since the last glacial period. Additionally, we examined which genes matter for successful interactions by comparing host and parasite genetic variation across islands and along elevation gradients within islands to assess variation in effector and R genes. we assessed correlations between abiotic factors and host polymorphisms. The central hypothesis is that phylloxera effectors will have elevated dN/dS ratios compared to other portions of the genome, indicating positive selection, and that grape resistance genes will vary with elevation and associate with climatic regions; additionally, estimated host-parasite coevolution using cophylogenetic methods (such as congruence and cophylogeny reconstructions).
