This archive contains datasets for Mercury’s tectonic and geodynamic history by Broquet & Andrews-Hanna and includes the following files: Tectonic_database.txt: Subsegment location, length, height and morphology class. Train_Normalized_elevation.txt: Normalized elevation of our 88 training ridges Train_Mask.txt: Binary mask indicating the central ridge location for our 88 training ridges SH_Tectonic_strain.sh: Spherical harmonic model of tectonic strain. SH_Tectonic_contraction.sh: Spherical harmonic model of tectonic contraction in km. Grid_Tectonic_strain.nc: NetCDF grid of tectonic strain. Grid_Tectonic_contraction.nc: NetCDF grid of tectonic contraction. SH_correc_tectonic_strain.sh: Spherical harmonic model of the membrane-flexural corrected tectonic strain. Grid_correc_tectonic_strain.nc: NetCDF grid of the membrane-flexural corrected tectonic strain. SH_correc_tectonic_contraction.sh: Spherical harmonic model of the membrane-flexural corrected tectonic contraction. Grid_correc_tectonic_contraction.nc: NetCDF grid of the membrane-flexural corrected tectonic contraction. SH_MembFlex_strain_crust.sh: Spherical harmonic model of membrane-flexural strain using crustal loading only (Te = 60 km). SH_Mantle_drho_hybrid.sh: Spherical harmonic model of mantle density anomalies using a combination of crustal loading and long-wavelength mantle support (Te = 60 km). Grid_Crust_thick_hybrid.nc: NetCDF grid of crustal thickness using a combination of crustal loading and long-wavelength mantle support (Te = 60 km). Read_files.py: Python script showing how files can be loaded and read using SHTools (https://shtools.github.io/SHTOOLS/). Readme.txt: same text as in the Zenodo archive. Spherical harmonic files and grids can be read using SHTools (https://shtools.github.io/SHTOOLS/). Grids were constructed using lmax = 500. All datasets show the nominal models presented in the Broquet & Andrews-Hanna (2025) papers. Membrane-flexural strains are estimated using DSP(https://ab-ares.github.io/Displacement_strain_planet/).
