This dataset primarily includes water quality indicator data for major anions and cations in inflow water, reservoir profile water, and discharged water from reservoirs across two river basins. Specifically, it covers 8 reservoirs in the Wujiang River Basin (Hongjiadu, Dongfeng, Suofengying, Wujiangdu, Silin, Pengshui, Yinpan, and Hongfenghu Reservoirs) sampled in January, April, July, and October 2017, as well as 4 reservoirs in the Pearl River Basin (Chishitan, Longtan, Yantan, and Dahua Reservoirs) sampled in April, July, and October 2019 and January 2020. The measured major anions are Cl⁻, SO₄²⁻, NO₃⁻, and HCO₃⁻, and the measured major cations are Ca²+, Mg²+, Na+, and K+.
