Single-nucleus RNA sequencing of deep and superficial sublayers of hippocampal area CA1 in epilepsy

We performed gene expression profiling of FACS purified nuclei from hippocampal area CA1 from adult male mice (Calb1xTdtomato mice) subjected to kainic acid-induced status epilepticus (chronic epileptic phase) and control animals. Overall design: Young adult male mice (6-7 weeks old) were subjected to kainic acid-induced status epilepticus or sham control (n = 2/group). Sequencing of single nuclei was performed after 12 weeks post-status when animals were in the chronic epileptic phase.
