This project focuses on the development of an IoT-integrated landmine detection robot designed to enhance the safety and efficiency of demining operations. The robot is equipped with metal detection sensors, a GPS module, and a microcontroller (ESP32) that processes real-time data. By leveraging Internet of Things (IoT) technology, the robot wirelessly transmits location and detection data to the Adafruit IO platform, allowing for real-time monitoring and data visualization. This system significantly reduces the risk to human operators by automating the detection process and providing precise location tracking of identified landmines. The robot has demonstrated a high detection rate in various terrains, achieving 90% accuracy in sandy areas and 80% in mixed terrains. Future enhancements include AI-based object classification for distinguishing landmines from other metallic objects and improved obstacle avoidance capabilities.
