Metadata for "Salmonid mortality and losses in Norwegian aquaculture" used to report national, production area, and country level mortality and losses per species (https://apps.vetinst.no/laksetap/). This operational dataset is made by aggregating multiple datasets extracted from biomass data from the Norwegian Directorate of Fisheries. The original data are recorded by the salmonid producers and entered in their farm management production system. Mortality is calculated from agreggated site data for the pupose of research and national statistics.
The data consists of five tables: 'Monthly_losses', 'Monthly_mortality', 'Yearly_losses', 'Yearly_mortality', and 'Cohorts_mortality'.
