A Cross-Border Rock-Glacier Inventory of the Maritime Alps
收藏资源简介:
This dataset accompanies the study “A Cross-Border Rock-Glacier Inventory of the Maritime Alps: Morphology, Environmental Setting and Lithological Associations”. It contains the final geomorphologically refined inventory of 604 rock-glacier polygons across the French–Italian Maritime Alps, together with the principal terrain, climate, vegetation, snow-persistence and geological datasets used in the regional analysis. The inventory is provided in WGS 84 / UTM zone 32N (EPSG:32632). The accompanying datasets include elevation, slope, aspect, terrain ruggedness, mean annual air temperature (MAAT), mean annual precipitation (MAP), potential incoming solar radiation (PISR), Normalised Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), multi-year snow persistence, and harmonised cross-border geological/lithological information. The dataset was used to analyse rock-glacier planform morphology, environmental availability, topoclimatic associations, lithological selection and spatial clustering. Environmental variables represent regional descriptors derived from datasets with different spatial resolutions and reference periods and should not be interpreted as synchronous reconstructions of conditions during rock-glacier formation.Rock-glacier polygons are geomorphological inventory units and are not classified by activity state. The geological nearest-bedrock variable represents local geological context and should not be interpreted as proof of debris provenance. Please cite the associated manuscript and this Zenodo dataset when using these data.
