资源简介:
The Espy-Cornwell Site (48CR4001) is a bison kill/butchering site located
approximately 16 miles south of Rawlins in south-central Wyoming. Situated
directly under an east-facing sandstone cliff, this site is warm on even a cold
day. It overlooks a small valley containing spring-fed creeks and small
drainages, Macrofloral analysis was conducted on two firepits to examine any
record of plant utilization by the occupants. Bison kill/butchering sites are
rare in this area, so this site provides a unique opportunity to examine hunting
and gathering strategies.
