资源简介:
Title:Quantitative Survey Data on Gendered Occupational Health Hazards Among Coastal Fisherfolk in Bangladesh Description:This dataset presents anonymized quantitative survey data collected from male and female fisherfolk in eight coastal communities across Cox’s Bazar and Chattogram, Bangladesh. The study explores gender-based disparities in occupational health hazards and associated health outcomes among coastal fisher populations. Data were gathered in 2024 through structured, interviewer-administered questionnaires as part of a mixed-method cross-sectional study. Variables include demographic characteristics, types and frequency of occupational exposures (e.g., sun, chemicals, heavy lifting), and self-reported health conditions such as musculoskeletal pain, skin disease, motion sickness, and diarrheal illness. The dataset supports analysis of gender differences in workplace risk factors and access to healthcare. Ethical approval for this research was obtained from the Institutional Review Board of Cox’s Bazar Medical College Hospital (Approval No. CBMCH/IRB/2024/38). Personally identifiable information has been removed to ensure confidentiality.
