Data, Code, and Graphs for the Empirical Analysis of the author's TFG: Japanese International Relations: Greatness Reimagined. Japan's Global Leadership Ambitions under the Abe Doctrine

This repository contains the cleaned datasets, Python scripts, and final graphs used in the empirical analysis of proactivity in Japanese foreign policy during the Abe administration (2000–2020). It supports the study Japanese International Relations: Greatness Reimagined. Japan’s Global Leadership Ambitions under the Abe Doctrine. The repository includes materials for the indicators of defense expenditure, external strategic-economic engagement, and trade and economic engagement. Public raw datasets from World Bank, OECD, and WITS are not included and must be downloaded separately, as explained in the README.
