DEEP FARM : OLIVE use case Dataset

This document provides a structured description of the datasets collected within the scope of the project. The aim is to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and proper understanding of the data by the users:

The datasets support research activities related to environmental monitoring and image-based analysis and consist of three main data types:

(i) weather sensor data,

(ii) drone-based imagery, and

Overview of Data Types

Weather Sensor Data

The weather and soil-related data used in this study were obtained from an Agricultural Sensor Station (FilizPro), an IoT-based monitoring system designed for field-levelenvironmental observation. The station provides continuous measurements of key parameters such as soil temperature and soil moisture, as well as weather-related indicators relevant to irrigation management, disease and frost risk assessment, and spraying time optimization.The technical brochure of the sensor station, detailing the device specifications and measured variables, is provided in the same folder for reference (agricultural-sensor-station pdf file).

Drone Imagery

Aerial images were captured using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to support field-level observation and analysis. The drone used for image acquisition was the DJI Mavic 3M, manufactured by DJI Enterprise.The technical brochure and user manual of the UAV are provided in the same folder for reference (DJI_Mavic_3M_User_Manual_EN).A total of 11 field visits were conducted at the pilot farm for drone image acquisition.
