Global perspectives, local solutions: Improving human-predator coexistence through collaboration, meaningful experiences and cross-cultural knowledge.

This dataset supports the literature review titled “Global perspectives, local solutions: Improving human–predator coexistence through collaboration, meaningful experiences and cross-cultural knowledge”, and compiles data from 76 peer-reviewed articles from 33 countries that address socio-ecological factors influencing human–predator coexistence worldwide. The dataset includes both categorical and numerical variables coded from the literature, covering aspects such as geographic region, focal predator species, study design, stakeholder engagement, gender representation, habitat types, presence of cross-cultural factors, and factors associated with coexistence. Each row represents a distinct study-species (when the distinction was made within the article, we separated the species in different rows), and includes 21 variables capturing key attributes distributed in columns.
