Survey 2025: Repository data of HES-SO University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland (2021-2024)

The HES-SO University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland analyzed publication data from its institutional repository (ArODES- https://archive-ArODES) covering the years 2021 to 2024. This analysis aims to produce absolute figures on the proportion of open and closed scientific publications authored by affiliated researchers as part of the annual survey conducted by the Swiss Open Access Monitor (Repository Monitor – https://oamonitor.ch).

The analysis covers four resource types: journal articles (scientific and professional), books, book chapters, and conference papers. The absolute figures are derived from four annual datasets with tab-separated values, which are publicly available through Zenodo. Only basic open access status is considered, based on the availability of full text (open | closed). Publications under embargo at the time of data collection are classified as ‘Closed’. The aggregated data is used to create graphs for the Swiss Repository Monitor.
