Pseudomonas fluorescens LMG 5329, an isolate of cultivated mushroom (Agaricus bisporus), is a WLIP (white line-inducing principle) producer. As a result, it induces a white line reaction in agar medium when grown nearby a colony of the mushroom pathogen Pseudomonas tolaasii, attributed to formation of a visible co-precipitate of their respective cyclic lipopeptides WLIP and tolaasin.
