Entry is a part of <b>Mechanomics</b> collection (10.6084/m9.figshare.c.5399826) that contains materials supporting findings presented in the following manuscript:<i>Urbanska, M., Ge, Y.</i> et al.,<br><b><i>De novo identification of universal cell mechanics gene signatures</i></b>BiorXiv: https://doi.org/10.1101/2021.04.26.441418<i>;</i><i> </i><i>first published:</i><i> </i>27th April 2021<i>, last updated:</i><i> </i>4th Nov 2024<br>eLife: https://doi.org/10.7554/eLife.87930<i>; first published:</i><i> </i>23rd March 2023<i>, last updated:</i><i> </i>27th Dec 2024<br>This dataset contains mechanical measurement of ECC4 and TGBC18TKB (TGBC) carcinoma cell lines conducted with with atomic force microscope (AFM).Measurements were performed using Nanowizard 4 (JPK Instruments, Germany).Tip-less cantilevers (PNP-TR-TL, nominal spring constant k = 0.08 N m<sup>−1</sup>, Nanoworld, Switzerland) decorated with a polystyrene bead of 5-µm diameter (PS-R-5.0, microParticles, Germany) each were used as the indenters.Following sub-folders are included under each sample:<br>• <b>Calibration </b>- contains data acquired during cantilever calibration<br>• <b>Ind </b>- indentation curves in .jpk-force format<br>• <b>Ind_processed-yyyy.mm.dd-hh.mm.ss</b> - results of processing of indentation curves with JPK data processing software (JPK DP, JPK Instruments)<br>• <b>Osc</b> - records of oscillatory measurements in .jpk-force format<br>• <b>Osc_processed-yyyy.mm.dd-hh.mm.ss</b> - results of processing of oscillatory measurements with JPK data processing software (JPK DP, JPK Instruments)<br>• <b>Pics</b> - bright-field images of cells acquired during the measurements, cantilever is located above the cell of interest
