This repository contains the data and R scripts supporting the manuscript "Quantitative honesty in snakes: acoustic warning is influenced by sex, personality and correlates with bite risks in the nose-horned viper", submitted to Proceedings of the Royal Society B.

The repository includes:

README (.txt): A detailed file containing descriptions of all variables and step-by-step instructions for running the scripts.

R Scripts (.R): Code to reproduce all statistical analyses and to generate the figures presented in the manuscript.

Datasets (.csv): Behavioural and acoustic data collected from the nose-horned viper (Vipera ammodytes) to assess individual consistency in defensive behaviours (hissing and biting) and responses to incremental threat levels.
