资源简介:
This dataset contains de-identified clinical data from a cross-sectional study investigating the association between circulating vitamin D levels and cardiovascular disease (CVD) in patients with hyperuricemia (HUA).
Hyperuricemia is an independent risk factor for CVD, and low serum vitamin D levels are associated with increased CVD risk, but their combined effect in HUA patients remains incompletely characterized. This study included 483 HUA patients admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University between 01/09/2023 and 01/11/2024. Participants were stratified into three groups based on serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) concentrations according to National Academy of Medical Sciences criteria: vitamin D deficiency (VDD, <12 ng/mL, n=150), vitamin D insufficiency (12 ng/mL ≤ 25(OH)D < 20 ng/mL, n=226), and vitamin D sufficiency (≥20 ng/mL, n=107).
The dataset is provided as an Excel file (hyperuricemia_vitD_CVD_dataset.xlsx) and includes the following key variables:
- Demographic and lifestyle factors: sex, age, height, weight, body mass index (BMI), systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), heart rate (HR), medical history, diabetes history, hypertension history, smoking history, and drinking history.
- Clinical laboratory parameters: Serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D), uric acid (UA), creatinine (Cr), calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), fasting blood glucose (FBG), total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), HDL-C, LDL-C, cardiac troponin I (cTnI), BNP, LDH.
- CVD-related indicators: Serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D), uric acid (UA), creatinine (Cr), calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), fasting blood glucose (FBG), total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), HDL-C, LDL-C, cardiac troponin I (cTnI), BNP, LDH.
All data were fully anonymized to protect patient privacy, with no personally identifiable information (e.g., name, medical record number, contact details) included. The study protocol was approved by the Institutional Review Board of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University.
This dataset supports the findings reported in the manuscript titled "Association between serum vitamin D levels and cardiovascular disease risk in patients with hyperuricemia: a cross-sectional study" (submitted to PLOS ONE), including the higher CVD prevalence and greater coronary stenosis severity observed in the VDD group, as well as the negative correlations between 25(OH)D and metabolic parameters/Gensini score.
