RNA-sequencing and bioinformatics analysis of mould- and yeast-form of Sporothrix schenkii (1099-18 strain)

Sporothrix genus contains several phylogenetically closely-related species that exhibit a temperature-dependent dimorphic switch between mould-form (25°C) and yeast-form (37°C). The transition from mould to yeast is essential for virulence of this pathogenic fungi. In order to investigate transcriptomics modifications occurring between mould and yeast phases, we performed RNA-sequencing and bioinformatics analysis of Sporothrix schenckii (1099-18 strain).
