This article examines gamification as a modern pedagogical technology applied in the educational process at higher education institutions. The theoretical foundations of gamification, its structural components, and pedagogical potential are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the impact of game mechanisms on student motivation, the development of their cognitive activity, and the formation of professional competencies. The need for integrating gamification into the higher education system in the context of digitalization is substantiated.
