The Bombyx mori genome was sequenced at three-fold coverage using a whole genome shotgun (WGS) strategy. Using the newly developed RAMEN assembler, the draft genome was organized into scaffolds spanning 514 Mb without gaps (387 Mb without gaps). The WGS project has the project accession BAAB00000000. Version 1 (BAAB01000000) consists of sequences BAAB01000001-BAAB01213289.
