This project describes the seuquence of PVL-positive Staphylococcus aureus strain that bears evidence of large-scale recombination events introducing large fragment of core-genomic DNA of from other strains. One of the donor strains was identified and it is demonstrated that this strain, in turn, also originated from another such recombination.
