· Essential oils from oregano and laurel are known for antimicrobial activity, supporting interest in their use against mastitis bacteria in cattle, which increasingly show resistance to many antibiotics.· Oil composition was analyzed by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry, and antibacterial activity was evaluated in vitro against mastitis isolates, including strains producing enzymes that deactivate β-lactam antibiotics.· Oregano oil contained terpinen-4-ol and δ-terpinene, while laurel oil was rich in methyleugenol and eucalyptol; both showed strong activity with large inhibition zones and low inhibitory concentrations.· The results indicate these oils are promising natural alternatives for controlling resistant mastitis pathogens.<br>
