Opinion on what the minimum age for social media accounts should be in India 2022

In 2022, LocalCircles conducted a follow-up survey in India to determine what the minimum age to own social media accounts should be. A sweeping majority, that is 56 percent of respondents who were parents of children aged between 9 and 17 years old were of the opinion that the minimum age requirement should be pushed up to 15 years with parental consent being an additional mandatory requirement. In comparison only 10 percent voted for similar conditions but with 13 years as the minimum age.
