Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation at Bumpstead Hill Farm, Little Dunmow, Essex, December 2015

This collection comprises image, text, spreadsheet and CAD data from an Archaeological Evaluation on land at Bumpstead Hill Farm, Little Dunmow, Essex. The work was undertaken by Archaeology South-East in December 2015. The evaluation was carried out in advance of a proposed solar farm and followed on from a geophysical survey. The site is located within an arable field occupying a south-western facing slope and bordered to the east by the A120. Ten evaluation trenches were excavated, across the 13.2 hectares development area, targeting geophysical anomalies and areas potentially threatened by the development, in accordance with an agreed Written Scheme of Investigation for the work. Archaeological features were limited to three of the trenches.
