Purpose and Use: This data was created to provide citizens and visitors the ability to locate the trail markers in the parks in the city of San Marcos. It is intended to give users the ability to find the trail markers in the parks around the city of San Marcos. Data Source: The data is collected and maintained by the City of San Marcos. Contact: Parks and Recreation: ParksInfo@sanmarcostx.gov Geographic Information Systems (GIS): gisinfo@sanmarcostx.gov Update Frequency: As needed. Jurisdiction: City of San Marcos Field Descriptions: PARK: - Contains the name of the park that the trail marker is associated with. ID Type: - Describes what type of trail marker it is. ID: - Contains the name of the trail marker. Trail Name: - Contains the name of the trail that the marker is associated with. Date Collected: - Contains the date that the trail marker was captured. Created By: - Contains name of the person who created the trail marker feature. Point X - Contains the longitude of the trail marker. Point Y - Contains the latitude of the trail marker. PARK_ID - Contains the ID of the park that the trail marker is associated with. POLE_NUM - Contains the pole number that the trail marker is on. Accuracy in Feet - Contains the accuracy of the GPS unit when the marker was captured.
