This study examined the dynamics of four psychological variables—self-confidence, team confidence, competitive anxiety, and effort intention—during positive and negative team momentum experiences in football. More specifically, this research aimed to characterize how these variables evolved both within and across two teams competing in the same match—one experiencing a phase of positive momentum, and the other undergoing a corresponding phase of negative momentum.<br>
