Colorsinlanguageservenotonlyasdescriptorsofphysicalobjectsbutalsoasimportantculturalandsymbolicmarkersreflectingnationaltraditions,sociallife,andhistory.ThisstudyexaminesthesemanticandsymbolicmeaningsofcolortermsinUzbekandArabic,highlightingbothuniversalandculture-specificfeatures.Analysisrevealsthatprimarycolors—white,black,red,andgreen—carrysimilarsymbolicmeaningsacrossthetwolanguages,thoughtheirlexical-semanticfieldsandidiomaticusagediffer.Theresearchalsoexplorescognitive,etymological,andpragmaticaspectsofcolorterms,includingtheirmetaphorical,historical,andreligiousconnotations.Findingsdemonstratethatthesemanticandsymbolicfunctionsofcolorsaredeeplyintertwinedwithethnolinguistic,cultural,andhistoricalcontexts,providingvaluableinsightsforcomparativelinguistics,translationstudies,andlinguoculturology
