Exploring the miRNome of extracellular vesicles as diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers in postoperated patients with septic shock and severe systemic inflammatory response syndrome

The goal of the present work is to improve diagnostic precision in septic shock and severe SIRS using miRNA profiling as potent tool, aimed at delineating distinctive biomarkers capable of effectively differentiate between these conditions, while concurrently unravelling prognostic indicators that hold the promise of enhancing clinical decision-making.
