The goal of this project is to elucidate the zooplankton dynamics in the shallow sea area. For this purpose, we conducted a marine eDNA project at Seto Inland Sea near Ushimado, Okayama, Japan. We collected seawater at an interval of about 1 km to the east from the Nishiwaki Coast in the Seto Inland Sea near the Ushimado area at February 4, 2019. Each seawater was collected at depths of 0, 3, and 5 m from the sea surface at the collection points by vandorn-style water sampler. In general, the sampling protocol followed Yamamoto et al 2017 (PMC5227697). When the sampling point was too shallow, we perform the sampling only at a possible depth was performed.
