RNA sequencing of MDA-MB -231 and MDA-MB -231 ER alpha EGFP

The gene ESR 1- alpha code for the protein, ligand activated transcription factor Estrogen receptor alpha. This receptor regulates the transcription of many estrogen-inducible genes involved in cell proliferation, metabolism, development and reproductive functions. The receptor also plays a key role in breast cancer and is the target for endocrine treatment. Inorder to understand estrogen receptor mediated Trasncriptome, ER negative breast cancer cells MDA-MB -231 were stably transfected with ER alpha EGFP. RNA sequencing of MDA-MB -231 and MDA-MB -231 ER alpha EGFP cells were carried out using Illumina platform.
