<b>China's Lake Dataset of water depth and storage (CLD)</b>

This repository provides the spatial datasets of lake water depth and storage for China in 2020. The datasets were developed based on in situ bathymetric measurements, empirical scaling models, and spatial analysis.It contains three shapefiles:<b>China_Lake_Depth_Volume_2020.shp</b>:<br>A nationwide lake water depth and volume dataset for natural lakes larger than 1 km² in China. The dataset includes lake location, surface area, mean depth, water volume, uncertainty estimates, lake zone classification, basin information, lake names, estimation methods, and salinity type. Lake water volume was derived from either field-based bathymetric measurements or model estimations.<b>China_Lake_Zone.shp</b>:<br>A polygon shapefile showing the lake zone classification system used in this study.<b>China_watershed_L1.shp</b>:<br>A polygon shapefile representing the Level-1 watershed boundaries of China.<br>
