RNA-seq of single myofibers isolated from skeletal muscle of young and old mice

We report RNA-seq of single myofibers with different p21 expression level isolated from EDL muscle of young and old mice. We isolated single myofibers from EDL muscle of young (6 months) and old (24 months) mice. These myofibers were separated to three groups based on their p21 expression value (RT-PCR). Three or four myofibers from each group were used for RNA-seq (Young-p21-Low (n=3), Old-p21-Low (n=3), and Old-p21-High (n=4). )本研究报道了从年轻及年老小鼠的趾长伸肌（EDL）中分离得到的、不同p21表达水平的单个肌纤维的RNA测序（RNA-seq）数据。我们从6月龄年轻小鼠与24月龄年老小鼠的趾长伸肌中分离单个肌纤维，并通过逆转录聚合酶链反应（RT-PCR）检测其p21表达量，据此将这些肌纤维分为三组。每组分别选取3至4个肌纤维进行RNA测序：Young-p21-Low（n=3）、Old-p21-Low（n=3）以及Old-p21-High（n=4）。
