资源简介:
This is the dataset for the paper: Age-Related Discrepancies in Gender Pronoun Attitudes: a Mismatch between Implicit and Explicit Measures written by Melissa Allen, Catherine Hobbs, Will Mills, Stephen Hinde and Bruce Hood. Gender identity is currently one of the most contentious issues in modern society and one aspect of this debate is the correct use of assigned pronouns. Previous research has indicated that gender categorisation is automatic and difficult to suppress. Building on this, we examined implicit gender processing via a Stroop task alongside explicit attitudes toward pronoun use. Our findings revealed that while older adults expressed more negative attitudes toward gender pronouns, their performance on the Stroop task suggested automatic gender associations remained intact and unaffected by age.
