资源简介:
Malaria remains a significant public health challenge in Bangladesh, especially in rural and border regions where transmission rates are consistently high. Timely and accurate diagnosis is essential for effective treatment and controlling the spread of the disease. However, difficulties such as overlapping symptoms with other febrile illnesses and inadequate access to reliable diagnostic facilities often hinder prompt medical intervention. To facilitate research aimed at enhancing diagnostic accuracy and improving clinical decision-making, this dataset offers a detailed compilation of hematological and clinical indicators from patients exhibiting malaria-like symptoms, collected from diverse healthcare centers across Bangladesh.
Clinical and Hematological Parameters Included:
Age : Patient's age in years
Sex : Gender of the patient (Male/Female)
Hemoglobin (g/dL) : Concentration of hemoglobin in the blood
WBC Count (x10³/µL) : Total white blood cell count
Neutrophils (%) : Percentage of neutrophils in WBC differential count
Lymphocytes (%) : Percentage of lymphocytes in WBC differential count
Total Cir.Eosinophils (cells/µL):Number of eosinophils in blood; high in allergy, asthma, or parasitic infection.
PCV (%) / HCT : Packed cell volume / Hematocrit
MCH (pg) : Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin
MCHC (g/dL) : Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin Concentration
RDW (%) : Red Cell Distribution Width
Platelet Count (x10³/µL) : Total number of platelets
Malaria Test Result : Laboratory confirmation of Malaria infection (Positive/Negative)
