Dataset for the Study of Exceptionally Strong Equatorial Intermediate Current Events in the Indian Ocean Associated with Climate Modes

The data are the variables needed to study the extremely strong intermediate current events in the equatorial Indian Ocean. The data are derived from one set of reanalysis current data (BRAN) in 2000-2022 and three sets of subsurface temperature data (ORA5, BRAN, and RAMA) in 2015-2019. The variables include circulation velocity, annual cycle of circulation velocity, intraseasonal and interannual components of circulation velocity, and intermediate ocean temperature.
