The present sequence correspond to an isolate of Globicatella sanguinis, an emergent pathogen of humans, obtained from a mixed infection in a duck farm operation in British Columbia, Canada. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of G. sanguinis isolation in a clinical case in poultry, identified by MALDI-ToF, with a complete whole genome sequence in the world.
