U.S. senior housing occupancy rate outlook 2014-2022

In a June 2022 survey, 83.3 percent of respondents of the WMRE / NIC Seniors Housing Survey believed that the occupancy rates for United States senior housing will experience an increase. This number has risen drastically as compared to the previous years. In 2019, 45 percent of respondents expected an increase. This change in number could be explained by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
