资源简介:
We investigated field electron emission from graphene on SiO₂/Si substrate. Graphene layer was structured into wire-shaped patterns with widths down to five microns using photolithography and etching. Field emission characteristics were measured using a scanning anode setup, wherein a sharp metal needle was positioned approximately 10 microns above the substrate and scanned across the graphene wires. Emission from the cleaved edges of the graphene wires was also examined. We observed electron emission primarily near the graphene edges, suggesting that the atomically thin structure and edge geometry of suspended graphene make it a promising candidate for high-brightness electron sources.
