Social distancing, personal perspective, and levels of mindfulness stigma mental illness

The data reveals the influence of manipulated social distance and personal perspective on the stigma of schizophrenia among individuals with different levels of trait mindfulness. A total of 167 participants' data were collected and grouped based on their levels of trait mindfulness, which were measured using the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire. After grouping, the relationships between trait mindfulness, social distance, and personal perspective were examined. The assignment for social distance is coded as 1 for friend context and 2 for stranger context; the personal perspective is coded as 1 for second person and 2 for third person. The feedback for schizophrenia stigma is represented by d values, measured through an implicit association test. Future research may continue to explore how demographic variables such as age moderate the stigma of schizophrenia.
