16S amplicons from skin bacterial communities of newts and frogs / raw sequence reads. skin metagenome

We investigated cutaneous bacterial communities of three European newt species, Ichthysaura alpestris, Lissotriton vulgaris, and Triturus cristatus, through time using high-throughput amplicon sequencing of a bacterial 16S rRNA gene fragment. These communities were also compared to those of co-occurring ranid frogs (Rana temporaria, R. dalmatina).
