Replication Data for: Ignoring the people, paying the price? The electoral effects of bypassing the 2005 EU constitutional referendum result in France

The research empirically evaluates the longer-term implications of the bypassing of the popular rejection to ratify the EU constitution in 2005 on political participation. The analysis leverages a fine-grained database of voting outcomes at the level of French municipalities that we have built for this study.
