Employees in home office in Italy H1 2020, by region

Between January and June 2020, Piedmont, Lombardy, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, and Lazio were among the Italian regions with the highest percentages of employees in home office. The largest shares of remote workers were recorded in March and April. In these two months, 12.6 percent of employees in the Italian region of Piedmont were working from home, the highest figure registered in the country. In May and June, the percentages of employees in home office experienced a decrease, most likely due to the fact that on May 4, Italy started easing its coronavirus lockdown.
