Bacteria community shift in rice

we investigate the bacterial community composition in rice-phyllosphere at three different growth stages across three genotypes: Koshihikari and two introgression lines. The bacterial community compositions are similar among the cultivars in the leaves and stems at the heading stage but is distinct in the leaves and stems at harvesting stage. These results suggest that they are primarily influenced by the rice growth stages and plant parts. Identification of the bacterial species in the rice-phyllosphere using full-length 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequences show that the bacterial community composition in the rice-phyllosphere vary by plant parts and growth stages.
