We present spectroscopic comparison of trimeric Photosystem I from the cyanobacterium Synechocystis PCC 6803 with a monomeric complex from the Δ<i>psaL</i> mutant and a “minimal” monomeric complex ΔFIJL, containing only subunits A, B, C, D, E, K and M.
