Data and analysis files for: Mapping Global Research on Unplanned Reoperation in Orthopedic Surgery: A 27-Year Bibliometric Analysis (1999–2025)

Supporting data, code and supplementary tables for a bibliometric review of orthopedic reoperation and revision research indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection (Science Citation Index Expanded), 1 January 1999 to 20 October 2025 (4,913 articles and reviews). The deposit contains the full search strategy (primary query Q1 and narrow sensitivity filter Q2); the Web of Science accession numbers and DOIs of every analysed record; the VOSviewer and CiteSpace output files used to build the figures and tables; the ten figures at 300 dpi; the completed BIBLIO reporting checklist; the analysis code; and Supporting Tables S1-S3. The code is standard-library Python 3.8+ (only the table writer requires openpyxl) plus one R script, and reproduces every descriptive, classification and robustness statistic reported in the article without database access: wos_parse.py (record parsing and descriptive statistics), term_signal.py (terminological classification, the Q2 sensitivity filter, Mann-Kendall trend, log-linear growth rate, Spearman rank correlations and exact binomial confidence intervals), bibliometrix_analysis.R (independent cross-check) and make_supplementary_tables.py. Full Web of Science records (abstracts and cited references) are not redistributed because of Clarivate's terms of use; the record set can be re-created by subscribers from the accession numbers provided.
